I have been blessed to work with many remarkable people who share the same passion for scientific discovery and education. The President’s Award is an extraordinary acknowledgement that highlights the power of collaboration and innovation in gastroenterology."

Dr. Halberg is an accomplished leader in Medical Affairs with a career spanning over two decades in both industry and academia. He currently serves as the Vice-President for Medical Affairs at Braintree Laboratories, where he has worked to advance the diagnosis, screening, and treatment of GI disorders. Dr. Halberg has also held executive positions at other leading GI-focused companies, including AstraZeneca and Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, contributing to the successful launch of several transformative medications that have improved the lives of patients. In academia, he has held multiple professorships, teaching biostatistics, epidemiology, and outcomes research. His current work includes collaborations with the ¶¶Òô´ó¹Ï and other organizations to expand access and remove barriers to colorectal cancer screening.
